Live Facial Recognition Deployment – Green Street

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Violent crime, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Officers from the Green Street SNT supported a Live Facial Recognition (LFR) deployment in the Green Street ward by Metropolitan Police today.

The operation formed part of the Metropolitan Police's ongoing efforts to locate wanted individuals by Police, an ongoing work to enhance public safety. Throughout the operation, local officers maintained a visible presence, supporting the operation, responding to questions about the deployment, and provided reassurance & assisting the operation all through. Due to operational demand, the deployment was extended until 5.30pm.
